Caramelised bananas
What to do with a couple of very ripe bananas
We’re not ones for desserts, preferring fresh fruit, but these bananas were going rather black on the outside, however, they were still quite firm on the inside.
- 2 ripes bananas, sliced
- 20g butter, you’re supposed to use unsalted, but I hadn’t got any, so I used salted
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- melt the butter in a frying pan
- add the sugar and when it starts to caramelise,
- add the banana and cook for about 3 minutes on each side
Serve with vanilla ice-cream or natural Greek yoghurt
